**H1:** Slow pitch jigging for grouper, snapper, amberjack, and tuna on the Gulf Coast

**Gag grouper (80-180ft):** 20F or 40F, 160-300g, PE 3-4, 60-80lb fluoro, Crackle ($37.99). Bite = sudden weight on fall. Drop rod tip, reel down, lift. Apply side pressure, don't deadlift.

**Mangrove snapper (40-80ft):** 20F, 80-160g, PE 1.5-2, 30-40lb fluoro, Striped ($12.99) or Spotted ($17.99). Bite = quick pecks. Set hook on first solid tap. Light drag (soft mouths).

**Greater amberjack (120-250ft):** 40F, 300-400g, PE 6, 80-100lb fluoro, Yellow Glow ($17.99) or LED ($35.99). Bite = hard, immediate run. Set drag at 15-18lb. Side pressure before they reach structure.

**Blackfin tuna (150-300ft):** 40F, 300-540g, PE 6, 60-80lb fluoro (short 2-3ft), LED ($35.99) or heavy Crackle. Strike at midwater (80-150ft down), not bottom. Long horizontal fight, 200-300 yard runs.
